The Expedition Challenge was the main event for the Scouts, with 8 Scouts hiking from Avebury stone circle to Kennet long barrow, Overton down, then Marlborough & Manton Village Hall where they overnighted. The following day they hiked through Savernake Forest to the Bruce tunnel on the Kennet & Avon canal and along the tow path to Great Bedwyn. They had to cook a meal (breakfast) and take photos along the way to show how humans had altered the landscape over the years. All they need to do is to report back and this is planned for our AGM. Apart from planning the Hike, we used our Go cart, played Hungry Hippos, and played two games of LaserQuest at Swindon.
